Our first sunday back in Paris was Stake Conference, out in Versailles. OKAY- I will gladly go to church in Versailles. Stake Conference was good, it was in french so what else can I really say? There were two english speakers, who I think were temple presidents or mission presidents or something? But they're talks were waaay way good. So after it was go do whatever you want. Obviously. A bunch of us went to the Versailles chateau and gardens, obviously. It was literally down the street. Five feet.HELLO VERSAILLES.
It was amazingly breathtaking/the most incredible thing my eyes have ever seen.
My french history before I came was minimal and I barely knew what versailles was. All I've ever seen of it was a picture of my mom in front of one building, and it looked so pretty, but I thought that was all it was.
I was sooo wrong. I stayed there for 6 hours and didn't even get around to everything.

We were all admiring the gardens from outside the gate, trying to decide what to do. The line into the chateau was super long and the gardens weren't free. So while everyone twirled around not coming up with any conclusions, Annie took me and hailey to where we wanted to go. The amazing trees in rows.
So we ditched the rest of the group, which i guess was a bad idea cause my phone was basically dead and turned off and nobody could get a hold of us so it seemed like we kidnapped annie. I'm obsessed with these amazing massive trees. All cut perfectly in rows. We walked through them every chance we got.
So after walking through our tree wonderland we went to the get away home of Marie Antoinette. She had this thing just to escape to on weekends. Seriously? Jealous.
This is the view out of the house. . I could live with that.

The house was ammmazing. Given. It was so pretty, and so fun imagining life in it. Outside of that she had a little village just through the forest a little ways. There were like 10 adorable little houses. She went here to pretend to be a peasant? I need to read more about everything, but I'm pretty sure thats' why she had that all built. And servants lived there or something. It was soo so cute. We couldn't go in those houses, just got to walk around outside. So fun.
Also, there were some arches covered in grape vines. We stopped and picked about ten million, and ate them. That's legal right? Free lunch and I'm not in jail, I could do that everyday.
I'm sure my mom is jealous, I took these pictures just for her. Me picking real berries! :)
Then we played in some more trees. Got lost just walking around, it was amazing. Then after about four hours of being there probably, we headed back over to the main chateau.. and the line was gone :) We headed inside and got in for free; of course :).

And sooo happy we went in. It was incredible, and so worth seeing. It was massive. A massive, beautiful, never ending home full of antiques and everything I love.
Chandeliers in literally EVERY.SINGLE.ROOM. Multiple. I LOVE chandeliers. And could not get enough of all of them. Half of my pictures were probably of the chandeliers. Until finally I was taking yet another picture of one and heard a bunch of people, so I turned around and was facing a new room, FILLED WITH CHANDELIERS. The mirror room. There were tons of chandeliers just lining the ceiling of this room.
My jaw literally dropped. I was in love. And didn't want to leave.
But we did.
We did the last part of the house kind of quick, cause it was getting late and we needed to get little annie to her roommate. So we took the train home, in hopes of returning again reaaal soon. Because we missed this..
And I want to see more of this.
