Here it is, finally. I just did a quick video run through of the apartment I'm living in here in France. I just learned this week that I'm not directly INinside Paris, but I am right on the edge of the border, right outside. But it just takes me about 15 minutes to get into the middle of Paris to my classes. I live pretty close to "La Defense," which is like Paris' own little manhattan, I can see it from my metro station.
And I went there for a fireworks show last week. It's so awesome.

video order;
My host lady's name is Katherine. But you don't say it the same in english. In french you say "Katrin." And thats really what I thought her name was until she spelled it out for me last night.
She is 64 years old and is a widow. She has three daughters, two of which we have met and come over everyday to pick up their dogs.
[I hate dogs.] - they have two, and live not far from here but don't have room at their apartment for both dogs. So they keep both here during the day, and alternate taking one home each night.
Again, I hate dogs.
My host is retired, and used to restore art. Thats what that awesome piece is in the dining room. I'm not really sure if she still does things, and I wish I could tell you all the things she has done,
but I'm sure she told me tons of stuff while
1. I couldn't understand two words of what she was saying
2. I was too tired to listen
and
3. It was during dinner right before I'm about to dig my spoon into my chocolate mousse pudding and am interrupted to listen and not be disrespectful.
But she is the nicest woman ever. She really is so sweet, and has given me countless kisses on the cheek while I've been here, {After saying something about me in french that I didn't understand..}
I get super frustrated when I can't talk to her and converse, and I can tell she does too. But its getting better and can't really get any worse than it is, so eventually, I'm sure she see how much I really do love talking.
Our apartment is beautiful, and I love it.
Its super antique-y and creaks so so badly. Which does not help me when I'm trying to be quiet and have to pee every night at 4 o'clock in the morning.
The shower is weird, so all the more reason for me to not shower as often ;)
She is an awesssommme cook, and we've had such delicious meals. She also loves chocolate, a lot, which is not helping my starting addiction. I told her I didn't drink milk very often so she assumed I was allergic to milk and pointed out everything soy and non-dairy to me at the grocery store when we went. Then I told her I loved nutella {a simple phrase in french, j'adore nutella...beaucoup} and she assumed that I am a chocoholic like her and always makes me eat more and more of my chocolate desserts at dinner even though I'm so full.

The one dinner I have gotten a picture of that she's made.
First of all; potatoes. The main reason I went to BYU-I, [its in rexburg,Idaho and I am potatoes biggest fan.]
That little slice of hashbrown/potato/delicious was so amazing.
She also made some meatballs, sooo good. And we had some type of squash, thats the yellow stuff.
Every night {well three nights a week} she sets the table with every dish necessary. Our plates, with a knife and fork on either side, and a spoon up top. Our glasses, and she usually forgets the napkins, until she sits down and realizes and goes and grabs our neon green paper napkins from the corner.
All the food is set in the middle, like usual, and off to the left is always sitting dessert. Just so we can watch it all dinner long, waiting.
This night we had chocolate mousse, with meringue-which I've never tried.
But basically it was a little bowl of heaven. That I could not stop eating.
She laughed at me when I ran to get my camera out of the other room to take a picture.
But I'll brave up and take more pictures, because she seriously makes gooood dinner.
